It offers not just the experience of wearing a kimono, but also the opportunity to beautifully pose and capture that moment in a tangible form. Surprisingly, there aren't many opportunities in our busy daily lives to take time just for ourselves and carefully pose ourselves. The Tokyo Japanese Clothing Experience "TSUNAGU," located in Tokyo, begins with a quiet moment of self-reflection and a profound appreciation for Japanese clothing culture. Whether it's your first time wearing Japanese clothing, or your first time wearing a kimono in a long time, you may have some concerns, such as, "Will a kimono suit me?" or "Will I be able to pull it off properly?" At "TSUNAGU," we carefully address each of these concerns and value the process of transforming them into peace of mind and anticipation. The kimono you choose will be inspired by the designs and colors of Tokyo's hand-painted yuzen kimono, evoking Tokyo's refined aesthetic. Rather than chasing flashy or trendy styles, we carefully coordinate a kimono that naturally blends with your age, mood, and demeanor. *The kimonos used are not guaranteed to be Tokyo Tegaki Yuzen kimonos as a traditional craft. The selection of kimono and the direction of the outfit are carefully considered, with the supervision and cooperation of Tokyo Tegaki Yuzen artists and those involved in the workshop, including color matching, the appearance of the pattern, and the overall balance. The outfits are designed so that even those unfamiliar with Japanese clothing can naturally achieve a refined look. Hair, makeup, and kimono dressing are handled by professionals with experience in the fields of Japanese clothing, advertising, and bridal wear. Rather than emphasizing flashiness, we carefully consider the harmony with the kimono and each individual's bone structure, age, and mood to create an outfit that is natural yet has a strong presence. Our greatest priority is that you feel like you are wearing the outfit in your own way, rather than feeling like you're being forced to wear it. This experience will take approximately 5 hours in total. First, after arriving at the studio, you will have your hair, makeup, and kimono dressing done, and then you will be photographed in a tranquil indoor setting. The time from this preparation to the indoor photo shoot will approximately take 2 hours. We will carefully capture your most beautiful and poised appearance in photographs. Afterwards, you will have approximately 3 hours of free time to go out and explore the streets of Tokyo, enjoying your time in kimono at your own pace. Of the time outside, a photographer will accompany you for approximately 30 minutes for location shoots. They will capture moments when your kimono stands out naturally against the city's atmosphere, light, and background, and capture a different look than indoor photos. For the remaining time, you can enjoy the freedom to spend time in your kimono without being rushed by photo shoots. The photos will be taken by a professional photographer specializing in portrait photography. Rather than forcing you to pose or expressively, we carefully capture the moment that best highlights the beauty of your kimono, focusing on natural movements and spontaneous expressions. The resulting photograph will not simply be a commemorative photo, but a snapshot of the special time you spent in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan. If outdoor photography is difficult due to bad weather or other reasons, we will provide an alternative, primarily indoor photography.
