Tokyo Yuzen Color Painting Workshop

Service Description

This hands-on workshop allows you to create your own one-of-a-kind artwork by adding colors to original Tokyo Hand-Painted Yuzen designs. Through painting on T-shirts or tote bags, you can casually experience the beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Beginners, children, international visitors, and families are all welcome. The Tokyo Yuzen Painting Experience is a cultural workshop where participants color original sketches created by Tokyo Hand-Painted Yuzen artisans to create their own unique designs. Similar workshops have previously been held at venues such as Jiyugaoka Hikari-gai, AKOMEYA TOKYO, Nihonbashi Kyorakutei, and Traditional Crafts Aoyama Square, where they were enjoyed as an accessible way to experience Japanese traditional culture. At TSUNAGU, under the supervision of Tokyo Hand-Painted Yuzen artists and studios, we will continue to host these workshops regularly as a way to bring traditional Japanese culture and craftsmanship closer to people from around the world.
